Brief description: The project aims to value the Vicenza forest-wood supply chain by encouraging collaboration between the small logging companies and small forest ownership typically of the area. Starting from the most strictly forest-based and naturalistic area of interest, the project intends to integrate itself in an innovative forest ownership association approach to increase the exploitation of the local forest. The project, therefore, aims to create a useful, economic and innovative tool through a widespread, participatory "bottom-up" approach, inspired by the LEADER II and CLLD guidelines. The protocol will analyze the innovative ownership association approaches in Italy and in Europe, also evaluating new ways of managing agricultural-forest land to solve problems related to excessive land fragmentation especially if the owners cannot be traced. At the same time, new forestry and remote sensing precision technologies will be tested for the measurement and the estimation of the forest biomass. It is therefore proposed to set up an operational group to consolidate a modern, efficient and sustainable local forest supply chain.
