Agriculture Sector Gears Up for the Future: FarmBox Project Presents Final Outcomes

Corte Benedettina (Legnaro), 9 am

18.04.2023

With around 22.2 million people working regularly in agriculture, the sector is facing a challenge of attracting a new generation of farmers equipped with the necessary skills to work in a rapidly changing environment. These farmers must produce more efficiently while also protecting the environment, combating climate change, meeting society's demands for healthy and balanced diets, and keeping pace with increasingly rapid scientific and technological progress. Adequate agricultural education and training are essential for future farmers to acquire the skills needed to adapt to these changes.
To address these challenges, the FarmBox project was launched to improve the development of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) skills for students and farmers, generating awareness of the challenges posed by climate change and the benefits of CSA.
On 18 April 2023 at 9 am, the FarmBox Final Dissemination Conference, titled "Growing smarter for a greener tomorrow," will take place at the Corte Benedettina (Legnaro).
During the event, the project outcomes will be presented, including a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) about climate smart agriculture and an online simulator that will simulate the benefits of CSA in a virtual environment. Additionally, keynote speakers will be present to discuss a Roadmap to a smarter and greener agriculture.

Join the discussion to define the next steps towards a sustainable agriculture sector that can meet future challenges. Register for the FarmBox Final Dissemination Conference now!
